The most exciting development in Angling in Ireland has got to be the commencement of a big game fishery.
Since 1986 shoals of bluefin tuna have been observed off the Donegal Coast by, with occasional catches of bluefin by the pelagic fishing fleet since the eighties.
Success first came to Donegal when Alan Glanville caught two bluefin aboard Brian McGilloway's boat
