How to tie the Palomar knot

1) Double the end of the line and pass the loop through the hook eye. Palomar knot 1
2) Double the loop back, then make an overhand knot around the standing line, leaving a loop large enough for the hook, swivel or lure to pass back through Palomar knot 2
3) Put the entire hook through the loop as shown. Palomar knot 3

4) Lubricate with saliva and pull on the standing line to draw the knot tight.

Palomar knot 4

Always remember to test all knots before fishing

Good Fishing!
