How to tie the Berkley Trilene knot

This version of the clinch knot has been researched by the Berkley tackle company, and is recommended by them for tying their monofilament. It is one of the best knots available for attaching hooks and swivels to light tackle.

1) Pass the line through the eye, take it around and pass it through the eye again. Berkley Trilene knot 1

2) Take three turns around the standing part of the line, then pass the line through the two loops as shown.

3) Lubricate with saliva and carefully pull the knot up tight. Berkley Trilene knot 3

Always remember to test all knots before fishing

Good Fishing!
